Sleep Disorders Correlate to Mattress

For a long time one would not have correlated sleep disorders with the quality of bedding equipment. The Physical Sleep Research Program of the Salzburg Medical Center (AZS) discovered interesting information about this correlation. With empirical studies supported by sleep laboratory investigation,
it was determined that the mechanical influence a mattress and pillow have on the body decreased sleep quality as shown in the following graph.

51% of good sleepers were laying on a firm mattress while 73% of bad sleepers were laying on a firm mattress.

Sleep Quality and Mattress Configuration: The study showed that of those people who claimed to experience sleep disorders and poor sleep quality, 73% slept on a firm mattress which didn't give the body a chance to get into anatomical alignment during sleep. Of the people with good sleep results 51% slept on such mattresses.
Sleep Quality Movements and sleep interruption: 78% of those people who reported low sleep quality also reported tossing and turning significantly at night. 71% were aware of sleep interruptions.
